I learned your language, and speak to you in your native tongue.

we gave you babel but you taught us that before you we lacked poetry

wij hielpen u babel leren maar voordat u wij hebben poëzie gemist

nous vous avons donné babel mais vous nous a enseigné que nous manquions de poésie avant vous

Our conversation lasts for hours,

the word candy we are dansing has overtones neither mahler nor ravel imagined

het woord suikergoed zijn we dansen heeft boventonen mahler noch ravel zich verbeelden

les bonbons de mot nous sommes dansing a connotation mahler ni ravel imaginé

and the smile on your face, compliments the gesture given.

because the laughter of devas and divas astounds the gods of olympus

omdat het gelach van devas en divas verbaast de goden van olympus

parce que le rire des anges et des divas étonne les dieux de l’olymp
