autumns symphonies – a pas de deus of ancient lovers movement v

Parole de Les Coeurs Tendres:

A  Pas de Deux of Ancient Lovers

(to my Muse of muses)

Our ancient hart is as garden of fountains,

like a deep well or streaming waters

as a vineyard whose wine quickens thirst

Come into our garden beloveds

Come and be drunk on our choice fruits.

-Canticles 4.15-16 (transliteration by Broeder Emmanuel)

Y en a qui ont le cœur si vaste

pilgrims on a pilgrimage without end

Qu’ils sont toujours en voyage

there are only but two with vaster hart

Y en a qui ont le cœur trop vaste

who danse upon the desert mirages

Pour se priver de mirages

these many have eyes cloudy with flowers

Ces nombreuses ont des fleurs à leurs yeux

those eyes are full of wilting narcissus

Les yeux à fleur de peur

for fear they are lacking the hours to find

De peur de manquer l’heure

that all paths find new beginnings in bethlehem

que tous les chemins trouvent les nouvelles terminaisons à Paris

these are those whose harts remain outside

Y en a qui ont le cœur dehors

this empty hart is that pearl without price

Et ne peuvent que l’offrir

this hart inside which all other harts dream

Le cœur tellement dehors

is that one hart  carring all lovers home

Qu’ils sont tous à s’en servir
